  1. No one's outraged.

I just think it is HILARIOUS that her mom is the one who advocates for abstinence, LMAO!

  2. I am from the left and have not spoken to or heard of anyone who is annoyed, outraged or upset by her choice to keep the baby.  My frustration is with the mother, who would like to impose abstinence only education on the entire nation when she can't even make it work in her own family.  She should use this as an opportunity to admit that she was mistaken on that point.

  3. Simple:  It flies in the face of their liberal ideology.  In their minds, being an American means you can do whatever you want (never mind if it's illegal or immoral) and you never have to apologize for it because there's always someone else to blame.  Makes life easy if you always have a scapegoat because you'll never have to face the possibility that YOU may be the problem.  Yup, liberals are doing a great job of turning the American people into victims instead of victors.  But now that 17-year-old Bristol Palin has decided to do the adult thing and accept responsibility for her actions, she's being pounced on and is receiving a flood of criticism that has to be one of the foulest rants of narrow-mindedness and hypocrisy ever seen...

  4. It pains them to see people accepting responsibility for their actions instead of calling on the Government to make up for their poor judgment.

    Conservative values:

"Uphold family values, but take responsibility when you mess up - after all, it is your mistake."

    Liberal values:

"It is human nature to have lots of s*x - so do it.  Anything against human nature is hypocrisy.  If you get knocked up, it's your right to kill the child because class/societal pressures are responsible for your actions."

  5. Because it is a concept they don't get or embrace.  It's easier to judge than accept responsibility.

  6. Its not about Bristol...its about her mother's extreme views and hypocrisy

  7. Because it's completely fake. The young man had a MySpace page that said he didn't want a child. They have thrown him into the fire against his will. he will now be ripped to shreds by the media. will he be forced into a bad marriage that will end in divorce?  have they paid him to do this fake dog and pony show? I think they have. when they lose, they will go right back to where they were before the nomination. she's having the baby, but he won't marry her.

  8. We're not.

We are just pointing out that a right wing extremist who would not fund any s*x education other than absitence only looks pretty silly with a pregnant teenage daughter.

Let us have our fun for a while. We were killing you when we were focussed on issues while you lot pretended Obama is a terrorist. We'll get back to that soon don't worry.

  9. They're not.  That's how the right wants you to perceive the left.    The left loves the choice of Palin.  There seems to be a new revelation about her every day.

  10. You are practicing a straw-man fallacy (look it up).

Most people in this country want a woman to have the ability to decide what happens to her body AND would like to see fewer abortions.

I think it is fine that the little girl is going to keep her b*****d child  but what is ironic and telling about the situation is that

A: Republicans like to paint themselves as the custodians and high priests of "family values" and yet are incapable of practicing what they preach.

    and

B: Sarah Palin is a strong proponent of "Abstinence Only s*x Education" and both the case of her daughter and loads of scientific data show that it is completely ineffective.

  11. Far-way-outta-reach-left liberals and responsibility doesn't seem to mix too well together!

  12. because if it wasn't this it would be something else, and they gotta be outraged about something or they have no purpose in their lives, just look at the second night of violent protest at the rnc, always outraged about something

  13. we are offended by the hippocracy of it all.

  14. Where are the extreme left? I don't feel outraged, I just feel she is a fantasist who thinks begging kids not to have s*x will actually yield results. Abstinence is the gambler's approach to birth control and the route to abortion (something she also opposes). Makes her seem confused to me.

  15. I don't see the hypocrisy that the left so called see (perhaps a tad bit ironic).  It isn't like SHE encouraged her daughter to get knocked up out of wed lock.

Anyone that is being intellectually honest with themselves (hard for liberals to do), realizes that a teenager doesn't always follow the advice / teachings of their parents.  Anyone that is being intellectually honest with themselves also realizes that when a teenager decides to engage in stupidity that a parent can't always "control" or "protect" them (because by their teenage years we grant them additional freedom and hope they make the correct decisions).  Unfortunately, teenagers are still stupid and things like this happen.  It's not called hypocrisy folks, it's called life.  Palin (the mother / VP selection) hasn't behaved in a manner contradictory to her beliefs.  That her teenage daughter has isn't a reflection upon her mother.

  16. You probably also missed what the uproar about secretly g*y Republican leaders was all about.  Hypocrisy, not homophobia.

  17. Well they are Obama supporters, in their world, she should have the Government take care of the baby, pay for the health care, pay for food stamps. Then she would be a liberal woman.  It makes them mad the girl is taking responsibility.

  18. They would love her if she would coathanger the h**l out of the baby. But since she is going to do the right thing and take responsibility for her actions (something liberals do not believe in doing) it angers them.

  19. I truly do not believe any Democrat cares one way or the other.I certainly don't. I have 4 kids and my wife has been pregnant 4 times, we chose to raise our kids, no medal is due for that Choice.

  20. I'm glad she chose life, and if the father is accepting responsibility, all the better.

It's the hypocrisy of her mother that's alarming.

  21. What is this extreme left you're babbling about?

I live in a small town in Pennsylvania. We have no real left here and the people I see most upset are the moderate middle class voters.

Many are angry because both of Bristol's parents work and if one of her parents was home all the time, her pregnancy probably would have never happened. Many of my neighbors wish they could have one parent stay home with the kids but are economically force to have both parents working. It underlines to them that when Conservative family values conflict with Conservative economic values -the money talks.

Some of my neighbors are let down because Bristol probably received an abstinence only education from her born again mother, that Bristol grew up in a good Christian household that never experienced poverty, and yet she still defied her parents and had s*x before marriage. If the Palin's can't raise their daughter right it then forces my neighbor's to question themselves.

The few on the Left I know just say this proves that s*x, families and life in general is far more complicated than the Right makes them out to be. But outrage? Where is this outrage? Like I said I see a growing discontent in the middle not on the Left.

  22. I don't think they are outraged with that aspect. It may be the fact that her mother is a staunch supporter of abstinence only teachings to our school children. And look how well that worked.

  23. It goes against their "brain."  There is something about a responsible and noble act that gives them the heebie-jeebies.   Just incomprehensible to them so they lash out in fear of the unknown.

  24. I'm not outraged because I don't care. But - it's the hypocrisy by the ' family values' party experiencing something like this, when if it were reversed they'd be saying dems were immoral etc.

  25. Makes them look bad

  26. I think that it enrages people that think that young mothers are unfit parents and are better off murdering their baby.

However, they neglect to realize that their Messiah was once a fetus in a teenager that they would have aborted also.
