The globe is not cooling now, anymore than it was "cooling" in 1902, 1939, 1962, 1974, 1982, or 1991. Those were all just short-term dips in what's clearly a long-term climate warming trend that has extended over the past 120 years and will continue into the future.

People who say that base it off the claim that 1998 was the warmest year on record, so therefore we must be in a cooling trend since then. Anyone who's taken a basic statistics class knows this is untrue. You don't base warming/cooling trends off comparisons to a single arbitrary year. By similar logic you can say "today is warmer than 1997, so we're in a warming trend." If you base it on 1998, cooling trend. 1999, warming trend. Obviously you can see this isn't accurate (and iit violates the definition of 'trend')

Not sure why exactly, but I do know that global cooling, I mean warming was a scam from the outset.  Absolutely no evidence proving it and so much rhetoric behind it.

Thanks for the thumbs down!  You can't provide a source for your claim.  Its the same question I would ask the global warming believers.  Provide a source.  Even the global warming skeptics (the ones who are skeptical that man is the source of the warming) are mostly in agreement that the temperature of the earth is going up. So.......please, share the source(s) for your claim that the Earth is cooling.
