Is there an actual social benefit to HD? I just don't see why this is pushed on the public.

  1. The aren't making you do anything.  Get a converter box and stick with your 1930's technology if you want.  Nobody is stopping you (in fact, "the government" is subsudising anyone who wants to remain in the 20th Century when it comes to TV in the form of a coupon to reduce the cost of the converter).

  2. big brother says so.

  3. I didnt know they were making us change to HD.  Thats much differrent that switching from analog.  Thats an outdated technology.

  4. Quicker flashes of fast strobe light effects and better tonal sounds cause more effective passive trance. They wish to produce passive zombie-bots for their control. The scientists of social engineering have perfected a better system with HD TV networks.

  5. They aren't switching to mandatory HD. They are eliminating the analog broadcast of TV signals through the air. This means you will need a TV with a digital tuner or purchase an adapter box for around $40.

  6. Not to get too technical. Removing analog signals free up band width to allow more signal frequency for cell phones, satellite etc.
