It seems like in spite of the fact that these employees have the world's best benefits, guranteed pensions, can't get fired, guaranteed raises and all bank holidays off - they still hate their jobs. I would be a janitor in any branch if could, just to get my foot in the door.

  2. most of these jobs require background checks. that takes along time. it has to go through channels. And most people hate their job because of stress. These jobs require lots of long hours and deadlines.

  3. The government is slow in hiring because it is slow and antiquated in all things. Most people don't start out hating their jobs, it's just that the goverment is so cheap and rude it sucks all life out of the employees. Try doing your work with no office supplies, horrid environment, really bad bosses paid four times as much you are for doing no work other than harassing or abusing employees, and no innovation or efficiency. Did I mention that every government office seems to be run by 50 year old high schoolers?

Where I live, corporate benefits FAR outweigh government benefits, including the retirement. But corporate jobs also expect you to travel and work long hours - something I, as a single mom, cannot do and lazy butts won't do. The only people who work government jobs are either 1) doing so as a temporary stepping stone to a decent corporate job 2) have to due to life situation (single moms, elderly) 3) sitting and waiting out retirement day (part time PTA moms, old ladies, lazy managers)

  4. Goverment jobs required alot of hard work constantly. It hard to get one because they do several background checks on you. People hate them because they are always being watched.

  5. you must be white, harder for us to get hired
