Why is the graph showing the relationship between vapor pressure and temperature exponential and not linear?

  1. Because vapor pressure is proportional to exp(-DH/RT), where T is Kelvin temp.  A plot of ln(p) vs. 1/T is linear.  Google the Clausius Clapeyron equation, or look it up in your book.
