  1. Chlorophyll gives leaves their green color

Chlorophyll is found in high concentrations in chloroplasts of plant cells.

Chlorophyll is a green pigment found in most plants, algae, and cyanobacteria. Its name is derived from Greek: chloros = green and phyllon = leaf. Chlorophyll absorbs light most strongly in the blue and red but poorly in the green portions of the electromagnetic spectrum, hence the green color of chlorophyll-containing tissues like plant leaves

  2. Grass is green because they contain a pigment known as chlorophyll. The chlorophyll is used in the process of photosynthesis where a plant produces sugar in the presence of sunlight.

  3. The person above me is half-right. Yes, chlorophyll helps give them a green color, but it is MAINLY because grass absorbs every color of light (red, blue, violet, etc.) EXCEPT green light. It reflects the green light making it appear that color.
