  1. The green colour found in grass and other leafy plants is caused by the pigmentation o chlorophyll. It is found in all leafy plants and plays a role in trapping light energy for use in photosynthetic reactions within the plant.

  2. Because cholrophyll a (we'll ignore others for now) preferentially absorbs light in the blue and red ranges.  Red + blue + green = white (in light color theory).  Thus, if red and blue are absorbed strongly and all others are reflected (to varying degrees) the object will appear green.

So, if grass absorbs red and blue, and reflects all others, it will appear green.

  3. Due to the substance chlorophyll which is present insie it. The substance chlorophyll helps the plant make its own food via photosynthesis.

    Ps. i have hay fever.

  4. Umm.. chlorphyll or something? lol

  5. 'Cuz red grass would look weird.

  6. Because it's on the other side. ;)

But seriously: Chlorophyll absorbs light most strongly in the blue and red but poorly in the green portions of the electromagnetic spectrum, hence the green color of chlorophyll-containing tissues such as plant leaves.
