  1. with the explosion of MMA, boxing and to a lesser degree pro wrestling have lost allot of fans. I see it this way, when we were kids we watched pro wrestling and loved it because it gave us things we've never seen before for example different characters, death defying moves, story lines etc. As we grew up we acknowledged that it was fake and probably moved onto boxing where the hits were real and you wouldn't know who would win (well in most cases anyways). After a while we all just realized that its 2 guys just punching each other in the face and hoped that one of them would pile-drive the other guy or throw a flying elbow. We were torn between pro wrestling and boxing. Then came MMA which gave us both the realism of boxing and the ferociousness of wrestling. I got of topic but the point is that boxing is not what it once was because fighters have honed their skills and taken up a different type of fighting sport.

  2. Historically the heavyweight division has never been a great division per se. The 1970s with Ali,Frazier, Foreman, Norton,Quarry, Shavers, Lyle among others the division was at its strongest. It was even good when Holyfield, Bowe, Mercer, Lewis were around early 90s.

  3. simply ders no american heavyweit boxers outder worth watchin hevyweit boxing is over ....boxing overalll is at risk unless dey start promoting it alot more...sure we all luv da welterweit and the middle weit fights dis days but its not da same as a hevyweit fite

  4. they are overweight and lazy. i think this hay guy is going to stir up something,he's already talking trash.

  5. The heavyweights aren't fighting enough to distinguish themselves and too many are afraid to fight each other....

  6. wow same question again and again it hurts even white dudes see white dues dominate it huh??lmao

racist americans shameeeeeeeeeeeeee on uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu russians are back the c old war just started again  BOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  7. Good question.

According to HBO crew (Merchant mostly), the great athletes who are potential great heavyweights, might be in other sports that offer bigger money contracts for less riskier duties.

But one thing's for sure.  It's hard to expect another huge Heavyweight draw, to just come out anytime soon.
