Question:

Why is the information on "My Yahoo" so old?

Hi. I use an IBook G4, and the latest version of Safari. I have tried to refresh "My Yahoo", but most news remains three days old. [some news is "only" one day old] I have emptied the cache, rebooted the computer, even tried other browsers such as Firefox, but the result is the same. My data is old.

Did Yahoo take a holiday during the Thanksgiving break? I suspect not. So what is going on? I have been a My Yahoo user for years now, and to my knowledge this has never happened before.

Many thanks for any help you can provide.

  1. I dont have an answer. I just want ot know how long we have to suffer, before we are updated.

  2. I did all the things Yahoo Help said to do, but my stuff is all old too.  My page shows the correct date, but no other current info.  No TV listings, horoscope, etc.

  3. Yahoo has to pay to list stories...they don't want to do that...so you need to open a story, scroll down to the Reuters (or other) link and click on it to go to their site for the latest news.  Just use Yahoo as a linkage site.  Also, add free news sites to your favorites list...like BBC, the Economist, Irish Times, etc.
