  1. I think the anti-abortion, pro-gun, global warming doubter, and desire to drill for oil in Arctic conservation areas also has something to do with it.

  2. Because of her lack of experience. I think she would make a great VP because she is no nonsense and doesn't take alot of c**p from people. She has done alot of good for Alaska and I think she may do alot of good for this country.

  3. but you forget obama has more experience than her.

  4. Yes A+ Excellent point! And she is only VP. And has more experience in her big toe then Obummer will ever have!

  5. They're hypocrites that thought they had the election wrapped up until now.

  6. Because more than likely McCain will die in office and this inexperienced VP will become president!  Do u want that?!?!

  7. its not a double standard. obama has been having to hear about his inexperience from day one. now turnabout is fairplay. if the gop can dish it out they may as well be ready to take it.

  8. t*t for tat?

  9. I love how people try to use "she's a heartbeat away from the presidency." Obama isn't a heartbeat away...he's already there! People who use this argument shoot themselves, and Obama, in the foot.

  10. Yeah - tell me about it.  To the dems, it seems that they can do and say whatever pleases them, but if the opposition does the same, they're the first ones to start the bashing and the hash-slinging.   They can sling the hash, but they don't like it when it's thrown back at 'em.   They have nothing else to get her on, so they're grasping at straws out of desperation!!  She's a strong-willed woman that will bring REAL change to this country, along with McCain!  It takes experience to bring such REAL changes to the country - not someone with a lack of it!  She is full of spunk, down to earth and is honest and full of integrity!  Palin is also a fighter against corruption and pork-barrel, wasteful spending!   She's also a woman of decency and morals!!  She's got my vote!!!

Edit:  Joe Jackson and Mea You Forget Me Now:  Palin is MUCH more experienced than Obama!!   Do your homework!!

Here's some links to her bio - see her experience for yourself!

  11. McCain chose her for a reason. She's a women.

With her on his side, he could pick up hillary's old supporters, and since mccain is so old, he could die in a year or something and she would then be the first woman president.  It's all about strategy,

  12. Double standard, there you go. The media has been drooling all over themselves about Obama since he entered the race. He is coated with Teflon as far as they are concerned, and can do no wrong. Any miss-step or lack of judgment or WHATEVER is glossed over. Any little thing that the opposition does is worked over for every negative detail or angle that they can find. And if they can't find the juicy tidbits, they aren't above inventing them. Or at least starting a rumor.

  13. Correct spelling goes a long way towards credibility, as well as proper grammar. Your statement/question means nothing because you come across as uneducated.

  14. Once Andrew Jackson took office, the presidency has been a cause for people to get into. Like breast cancer research, or AIDS research, something that people like to hear that is getting done. It sounds good to the ears. The reason why I indicate Jackson as this point in change, is because Jackson changed the election from state Representatives, which included rich whites, and opened it all all whites. So basically, that's when everyone who was white and male, the common man, was allowed to vote.

From that point on, politics has been a giant BS story. The media spins things one way, spins it another, and focuses on what it thinks the people would like to hear. That's just how things come with "freedom of the press". God Bless America for Pete's sake.

So while Pilden has a record of less experience, don't forget that Obama has even less expeirence, and as much as I don't like the lady, Hillary Clinton should have been the nominee because this was her year so to speak. Obama should have served in the Senate for a couple more terms before running for president. But he went for it, and has made history because of it. Like it or not, that's how the cards were dealt. The media will do what it will, so don't trust what you hear on the TV, because most of those 'experts' who inform you really have no clue what they are talking about. They're just spinning one BS story after another. That's American politics for you. You want some objective info, then listen to NPR. Of course as a teenager it's not like I listen to it, but NPR is non-profit and they have an objective position, as non-biased as you can get when it comes to politics and the media.

That's partly where Obama gets most of his momentum from. He's not just another old white man running for office like the people we see on our money and making public policy, initiating wars, and doing what the commander and cheif does. Obama promises change and knows how to hook the American people. Now of course he has no practical way of delivering what he promises, other than taxing the rich. Which in itself isn't smart becaue the rich are the ones who keep charity alive in America, and if they are taxed more, it's not like they're going to 'give back' twice. Rich people are rich because they know how to handle their money. And if you think that's a lie, then just look at the luxury tax that was instated awhile back in North Carolina. The Yacht industry plumetted over night because the people who bought those yachts, rich people, weren't going to pay more for their comfort, and as a result, those businsses who made and sold yachts went out of business and everyone who worked for them lost their jobs. Obviously they removed that tax, but it just goes to show you that it's harder to deliver promises than make them. What sounds like a good idea doesn't always being as such at the end of it.

  15. It's not so much lack of experience, as her unpreparedness and unsuitablility for the job being asked of her.

You can be experienced and still be unprepared.

    There is a difference.

  16. Only because McCain was making a fuss over Obama having no experience...Just calling McCain out on his original statements.

  17. Huge double standard.

  18. It's just the ironic thing that McCain was all over Obama about his lack of experience and then he goes and brings in an unknown with less experience than Obama.

  19. The media is exposing McCain's hypocrisy. McCain has attacked Sen.Obama for months on the basis of supposed lack of experience. He then picks Palin who is easily the most lacking in any national and international experience since Dan Quayle, and probably before. It's the same as John Edwards campaigning as a family man and then getting exposed as an adulterer. Hypocrisy is something most people can't abide and the media plays on that.

  20. just laff at them and say the last Republican with so little expereince is doing a great job as Govenor of California

  21. no one likes palin, this aint Alaska

  22. youre stupid and kno nothing... obama is a senator has so much experience! mccain only picked palin because he wanted hillarys voters NOT GONNA HAPPEN all of her real supporters are voting for obama, yea hes half black big f**ken deal! politics has nothing to do with race nor gender. nobody knew who the h**l she was until he announced her yesterday.

palin has only been a mayor and just turned governor... senator is higher rank then that stupid! palin is so stupid she actually thinks that alaska can supply oil for all of the u.s. and continue sharing with china. shes the stupid idiot who had a baby at 44. you need to do some research so you wont look like an idiot on here. there is no double standard, dont be ignorant.

  23. The media you refer to is owned and operated by the DNC.

  24. Because the dems realize that they are royaly screwed for not picking hillary/obama ticket

  25. Because McCain has sold himself on putting down Obama for no experience.  Palin would be one heartbeat away from being president.

  26. Obama has been working in politics for his entire life, and he's 47. He's a Senator who works in Washington. Before that, he was a state Senator. Before that, he was a community organizer. And before that, he was editor of the Harvard Law Review.

Palin is the governor of a small state - Alaska - that is pretty far from the American mainstream. Before that, she was mayor of a town with 8000 people. Before that, she was a contestant in beauty pageants.

I'm not going to argue that Obama has relatively little experience, especially compared to McCain, but Palin clearly has less experience than even Obama.

  27. Because they have to defend their creation at all costs.

  28. Because they want to.

I am so glad it makes you happy.

  29. So far, it is the only thing they can find about her to pick on.  This selection hit them like a ton of bricks, just like it hit the democrats.  They don't have enough goods on her to do anything but repeat the same lines, over and over and over... etc.

  30. Fair is fair. Obama slams McCain for being a Washington insider, then picks one for his VP. McCain slams Obama for lack of experience and then picks a VP with little experience (although she does have more experience than Obama)

  31. how about the double standard and hypocrisy of mccain attacking obama for lack of experience and then picking her?
