Why is the neosporin and peroxide burnning my wound?

i fell day before yesterday and it is still burning when i put the stuff on it. its not red or fevered.

  1. dont worry it should burn and sting because its just healing your wound. just keep putting stuff on!


  2. A quick search didn't show me a Neosporin that contains peroxide.

    Normally peroxide is applied when cleaning a wound, then wiped off. Peroxide has no staying power, so if you were to mix it with Neosporin, it would probably make no difference.

    Neosporin itself is very sticky and hard to clean off, so adding peroxide later would probably not have any effect either.

    You are probably allergic to Neomycin. You should buy Bacitracin, which does not contain this.
