  1. obama rocks, i sure hope he wins over mccain.. everyone who likes him should vote for him on this page (and get a free gift card!!).

  2. It's not so much racist as it's "dumb-blonde-ist", which is  the modern version of the "dumb-c'u'n't" joke.

Paris (who by the way is very smart and very competent) made the following reply.

  3. I really think it is a stretch to play the race card on this ad.  I think the ad is meant to point out the youth and inexperience of Obama.  If that is considered racist, then absolutely ANYTHING said negatively about Obama would be also considered racist, and how could anyone judge the candidates on their merits?

  4. hmm,yea...in case some of you aren't up on your lingo, 'Obama rocks' is best defined as... " that which shows up on an x-ray, between his ears!"

  5. I would agree with bob ber's answer in that it's not so much about race.  Mostly it's target demo are the middle class small town farmers, who see the celebs as rare, exotic, and new.  Which could be seen as dangerous wastes of time.

  6. I fail to see the racism in this ad... I've been hearing it from people that it really is though, but i just dont see it... Is it pointless? Sure. Could he have made a better ad to attack Obama? Yes. Was it Childish? Oh yeah. I just dont see how McCain can actually be PROUD of this ad. And especially to the fact that he recieved a little over $4,000 to his campaign by the Hilton parents and how he could turn and do that to them. Sure it probably is chump change for the Hilton's, but the fact is is that he still used that money and that he made fun of their daughter.
