This new my.yahoo is painfully slow. From scrolling to changing pages to clicking on items. If you don't provide a way to revert to the old Yahoo page in the next couple of days I will be moving to Google.

  1. One thing is the number of and some complicated modules that are set up on a page.

Click on the hide arrow(s) to the left of each module to hide nearly all of them and just open the ones you want to check/read when you need.  Then close again. This will speed up the page(s) considerably the next time you go to the page.

I don't like it either, but this is a way to deal with the one we have.

  2. What you pay is what you get.

  3. have u checked 4 viruses?usually that is wat makes it slower!

  4. I tried the Beta and switched back to the original months ago. The new is still painfully slow and gets "stuck" when I try to scroll down.  I can get the whole house clean while the page is loading in. So, I have left and gone to Page Flakes.  The pages load quicker and there is no sticking.  I want my old My Yahoo page back. I really loved it. :-(

  5. it probably has a buttload of memory on it

  6. I don't know why it is so slow.  I am having the same problem.  It takes about 20 seconds to load a page rather than the 2-3 seconds on prior format.  I sent a complaint e-mail to Yahoo about it.  I suggest everyone do the same.  Flood Yahoo with complants and if the problem is not resolve leave for a competitiors site.  Yahoo forced us to beta test this disaster for months despite complaints of users and now it appears the final version is worse than the beta version.  I hope Carl Icahn does replace the Board and fire Jerry Yang.
