Question:

Why is the news not reporting on the Impeachment articles?

As we speak, Dennis Kucinich is delivering 35 articles of impeachment against George W. Bush to the Congress.

I looked at the home pages of CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and BBC. I find nothing on this at all.

Any theories why?

  1. That is PROOF right there that the Media is Bias!

You're absolutely right to point that out.  Most things we try to educate people about that the major media doesn't report on but the alternative media does report on is dismissed as being 'conspiracy theories' even in light of substantial evidence.

This one we can easily point out is REALLY HAPPENING and SHOULD be MAJOR NEWS!  But it's not.

We caught them this time... didn't we?

  2. Because there is a major Presidential election in 5 months, and GWB is out of office in 8 months.  I think getting a president kicked out of office takes longer than that, since an impeachment is only a document, and the process is most likely longer than the 8 months he has left in office.

Dennis Kucinich is 7 years too late.  He's a nobody.  The man is against the 2nd amendment apparently also.

  3. I believe it did get some coverage but not close to what was warranted.  It should have been front page news across the board.  The coverage I saw was slanted in favour of the Bush admin.

People must understand that the corporate main stream media works against them.

The media is now owned and controlled by a hand-full of giant corporations.  Those corporations, and those with controlling interests in them, also own other companies that profit from the war on terror, and the Iraq war.

There is cross-over in media ownership and boards of directors with war profiteers such as Haliburton and General Electric.  There is also cross-over between media ownership and Council on Foreign Relations membership.

It is not in the corporate media's best interests to report anything, either or at all or accurately, where the report conflicts with their profit and power motives.  The version of "reality" they feed us is the one that best suits their aims.

  4. It's not the press' job to "figure".  It's their job to report.  The entering of articles of impeachment is a pretty important thing.  Not reporting it proves bias on the part of the press.

  5. Conservative Press.  The same reason we're not being informed about the realities of our war on the Iraqi people.  I've seen nothing about the 5 million refugees the US has created, or the siege of Fallugah beginning with 4 days of bombing (70% of this holy city devastated), 8 days of siege by troops with Free Fire orders (basically kill everyone orders).

I hope the troops have been advised that one result of the Nuremberg Trials, at which the US played a major role) was that a soldier must refuse orders of a criminal nature.

  6. Probably because  they figure nothing will come of it.  Bush will be done gone from the White House like a turkey through the straw come January 22, 2009.  Why wasn't he impeached before he really made a mess of things?

  7. It is simple and transparent — they do not want people to think about it.

As to why, that is also simple and transparent. They're in bed with the president and his cronies.

If the corporate media had any real allegiance to keeping citizens informed and educated, this would be front page news.

    Ergo, they do not.
