  1. 12 followers of Jesus sat round a table at the last supper, joined by the 13th who betrayed him, yes it's religious I'm afraid.

  2. This was asked just a while ago.

The number 13 was always sacred to the ancient Pagans because there are 13 full moons in a year.  Yes, 13 full moons.

The church took this number and made it evil just like they did to many other Pagan practices in order to scare their followers into compliance.

  3. what max said.

and i heard that in european countries its actually lucky.

  4. i have no clue!! i was born on the 13th. im not unlucky... and 13 is my lucky number =]

  5. 13 isn't unlucky it is lucky because there are 13 full moons in a year. 13 and 3 are both very lucky numbers. In paganism there are 3 forms of the goddess and the moon represents one of the goddesses and there are 13 full moons in a year.

  6. there's alot of stories about that. the one that caused alot of controversy was the one told in The Da Vinci Code. i remember it had to do something with Knights but that's all i remember right now. look it up or read that book (if your parents will allow you because that book makes you rethink everything you thought you knew)

  7.      There were thirteen participants at the Last Supper. Tradition states that Judas Iscariot, the disciple who betrayed Jesus, was the 13th to sit at the table.

  8. 13 only became unlucky after the last supper (judas = 13th person at the table) but it had special meaning long before that, in calendars and religions of ancient people.  do some research.

  9. hmm...i never knew that about the last supper and everything!

idk. its kinda my lucky number.
