  1. Can you spell....

    ** G ** A ** S ** ????????

    Have a right-wing day.

  2. The Democrats use of the NEA to produce functionally illiterate graduates who are unemployable.  Couple that with the 24.9% graduation rates that Democrat controlled cities like Detroit produce and this should come as no surprise.  You now have 20 million illegals competing with these marginally functional individuals for commodity skill jobs.  The illegals are winning because they have a work ethic.

Another good example is provided by the majority of these answers.

  3. because look at the price of every thing here gas is 5 $ ...it used to be like 1.98$

  4. A gallon of gas is what dirt poor americans make each hour......if they even work.

  5. our econemy is very suckish right now and hopefully the new president weather its obama or mccain will take care of the situation and make it better cause george bush is doing a h**l of a job

  6. We're still waiting for that trickle down economics to work. Tax cuts for the rich. Tax cuts for the rich. They make the jobs, it will be good for America. Hahaha...

  7. It's a snow ball that has been rolling down the hill and getting way too big....

Sep-11 events claimed a lot of lives and saddened the nation and the world, but it also caused a terrible impact in the economy.....

Then it was The war against terror spent billions of dollars, who paid for it?

Then The War against Iraq, more money spent there.

Now, If they pass Global Warming legislation, who is gonna pay for expensive alternative fuels, who's gonna afford prices going up, higher taxes, etc?

US, US, US, US...... and of course our living standards keep going down..

We not always make right choices, we are humans it's OK, but when those in charge of a nation made too many wrong choices (intentionally or not), it can lead the country to a situation like ours today.

  8. Ask that democratic government, that the liberals voted into office. Polossi & Freinds.

  9. cause of the high prices   people cant aford it

  10. More illegals come every year.

  11. gas prices, loss in jobs, more immigrants that get hired instead of the "family man"

  12. High paying textile jobs are across the seas, gas is over $4.00 a gallon, food has increased 40% and if you have a job you haven't been getting enough of a raise to keep up with the cost of living.

  13. Greedy CEOs raping every corporation across the country and funneling the money into offshore bank accounts and foreign investments.

  14. Capitalism.  When a relatively small percentage of people (eg those with financial power) allow their quest for easy money (and lots of it) to overcome their social conscience and regard for fellow human beings, what eventually results is economic depression.  This increases cost of living, which reduces expenditure, causing a few bankrupt CEOs to take a dive off the tallest building at the crisis point... and within a few years the economy starts to recover again.  Meanwhile, those who have lived on credit suffer, while those who have saved money in the bank are reaping good interest rates.

If investors valued human life and happiness more than they valued speedy individual profits, this cycle of extreme wealth and then extreme poverty would not occur. Slow and steady economic growth prevents economic depression (ie making sure that everyone has the power to work for what they receive, and that they don't receive $ for what they don't work for, ensures that the economy doesn't spiral out of control... eg living and investing off credit gives false stimulus to the economy).

Excessive profiteering, and insufficient expenditure on social capital, causes extreme fluctuations in the economic wellbeing.  People need to realise that we're all in this together.  Policy that supports only the wealthy people is neglecting the people who really uphold the economy... the workers.

EDIT:  Yay Ethanol Scam's answer! :-)

  15. 1. Cost of neccessities are rising much faster than wages are increasing.

    2. Americans no longer know how to/believe they shouldn't have to do without.

America is no longer a place where you get things by hardwork, it's a place of those that are lucky and those that are not. Increasingly more and more Americans are believing it's the governments' job to make us all lucky.

  16. Our rapidly deteriorating economy.

and our idiot president who thinks throwing money into the "fire" makes it better. He is just to incompetent to do anything serious about it.

  17. Subversion to destroy the economy and the middle class, easier to maintain control and seize property. Objective 21 of the so called great national sovereignty plan in effect by crazy azz right and left politicians and world leaders that all need to drop dead. Spark fear and turmoil into the public , classic bait and switch scam you would find a local car salesman attempting to sell you a previously flooded wreck.

  18. my dirt poor relatives have solved the gas price problem when their truck was repossessed. the are walking and losing weight and cannot afford cheeseburgers and beer. poverty is a good thing.
