and how come the ozone in the stratosphere has been declining??...there is another layer in the troposphere?...it could "fill in"for the o3 in the upper layer!!

is the o3 in the troposphere consedered as a greenhouse gas and contributing to global warming??but it doesnt conceal the heat...

i'm little confused...please answer:)

  1. The ozone in the stratosphere has always been a ghost gas.Lower or surface O3 has been considered by some to be more detrimental then CO2. It also can, indirectly have a influence on CO2 production, from a terrestrial vantage. One primary worry, it has the potential to double readily. Being possibly more of a driver for GW then CO2.

  2. The hole in the ozone layer and global warming are two seperate issues.  Ozone is a greenhouse gas, but not a significant one.

The hole in the ozone layer was caused by human clorofluorocarbon (CFC) emissions, and we've basically solved that problem.  Now the ozone hole is rebuilding itself.

  3. the hole in the ozone layer is caused by chloroflurocarbons (CFC's). The hole is letting more heat in but it has nothing to do with global warming.

  4. The O3 in stratosphere is maximum compared to tat in troposphere... moreover due to increasing usage of CFC products(present in refrigerators body sprays..) the O3 molecules are reduced to O2 molecules... This is the reason for ozone depletion!!

Definitely the ozone, it conceals the heat and contributes to global warming but not as much as other greenhouse gases especially CO2....

Its purpose is more essential,i.e. when UV radiations from sun reach the stratosphere it is absorbed by O3 molecules...!!

  5. yes !! As the ozone layer absorbs Ultraviolet Ray from the SUN radiation, the hole in ozone layer an adversity would result to human health, biology wellness, like variety of cancer. now that there's a hole in the ozone layer not a good thing at all. it's because of co2 plz read the article and you may ask any questions if you want on my site about global warming(there are shout box on my site so you could ask me there)

  6. The hole in the ozone opens up and lets all the heat from the sun in.  Normally the ozone doesn't have holes and reflects the suns warmth back into space.

But this isn't happening any more.  The hole is letting the whole heat in, and as the hole gets bigger, we get more warming!  And this is what's causing "global warming"!

  7. Yes. The fumes that are coming from cars, factories, etc. are floating up to the o-zone and slowing wearing it away, causing the ultra violt rays to come down to earth causing Global Warming.
