Why is the pool water a dark green?

you can put it in your hands and the water is clear the ph is normal and the chlorine is slightly high what could be wrong

  1. You need algiecide.


  2. What color is the bottom of the pool? Algae might have built up but is too little to change the pH balance.

  3. it prabably rain or you havent shoked your pool

    when it gets green you have to go and buy some shock and pour it in the pool acording to the size of your pool and then just wait and like in a day itll be back to its regular color

  4. You have an algae outbreak on your pool walls. Even if your current test kit says your chlorine is slightly high it could actually still be low. You need to keep your chlorine 10% of your CYA. If your kit doesnt test for CYA then this is probably the problem. You need to brush all the surfaces of your pool and shock the h**l out of it. Make sure your filter is clean and run it 24hrs/day until all the algae is gone. You'll probably have to shock a couple days in a row to kill all of it.

  8. did u have a party in ur pool?? i remember when i did way back in the day.. we had beer and all in the pool.. and the next day it was green.. it could be from yeast.. or hopps mixing with the chlorine

  12. Chlorine is a green colour so the water is probably high in chlorine. Or the flooring at the bottom could be green?
