Why is the release of the newest Harry Potter movie being delayed?

Is anyone else pissed about it?

oh believe me i'm super pissed! i mean we were 3 months away, but now we're 11!! it sucks way more than I can even say! but people are saying it's becasue of Twilight, honestly that is not the case, WB decided to move it to get more money because the summer season is more of an ideal time for kids to see the movie. They don't have school to worry about so they'd see the movie more than once if they wanted. Also they have just picked up many movies from NLC that they are putting out before the HP movie. Some also say they want Dan Radcliffe to finish up Equus before releasing the movie so he doesn't tarnish Harry's character, but they support him in Equus so that's not the case IMHO

Yah I am too. It's pretty much being delayed because they think it would do better if they released it in the summer, like they did for Harry Potter 5.

the actor playing harry potter is probably too busy doing nude shows.

So it can be released on a more profitable movie weekend! It's gonna be finished on time then just sit around waiting for next summer. Filming on book 7 is NOT being delayed though.
