I thought only lefties played right wing at international level, as you get wider shot angle, but she's really good.

More generally, Is there a rationale for having a righty playing right wing?

  1. maybe because her coach is a idiot or maybe she is best at that position, her coach may want her there for a few games and she will be switched.

  2. You're right. She's an exception. All coaches should look, however, for players who do the job well, whatever the biomechanic specifications. Her club coach and Trefilov saw that she was good for right wing and trusted her.

I am glad to talk about handball. If you want, you can message me privately giving your email address. It doesn't work otherwise :)

  3. Usually left handed players are easier to be find at junior's level. It is harder to find left handed. Probably her coach asked her to play right wing since she was a child, she performed well and developed her skills and now she might be better on that position than anyone else.
