  1. People want things to come or be easy, so they take the straight and wide road. The road less taken is narrow and filled with kinks and bumps. So yes, people want the easy way.

  2. Stop following the crowd and find out for yourself.

  3. The road less taken:

    1.  Requires that an individual make a conscious decision to break away from the crowd and go a different direction.

    2.  Requires that an individual hack his way through uncharted territory....

  4. its not as easy?

  5. The saddest thing in life is to follow those on the wide path.  Not only do you think as they do, you also strive to be more and more like the majority as time passes.  You end up losing what could have been a unique, exciting, exhilirating and, yes, different man or woman who could contribute much to humanity. Histery has taught us from those like Albert Einstein, Aristotle, Hippocrates ect. taking the road less traveled is a full rewarding life.

Of course their are those who get on the wrong road less traveled today which no longer means it'es the "less road traveled".  We must beware of our own motives when we venture out on a different path..

  6. Because it doesn't have kids on the way to school that you can run over!

  7. It would be so easy to take a shortcut to get home, but people usually take the long way home!!  Just as it is so easy, to express love to one another, people find it easier to look for the bad in a person!!

  8. Taking the road "one less traveled by" can be seen as a declaration of the importance of independence and personal freedom. "The Road Not Taken" seems to illustrate that once one takes a certain road, there's no turning back, although one might change paths later on, they still can't change the past.

  9. Usually the road less taken is less taken because to take that less taken road would be disadvantagious to do so. Why? Multiple reasons and everyone must answer for themselves why the road was not taken. Maybe there was lots of cunstruction, and thus too much traffic on that road?

  10. It isn't the most obvious path. Not everyone is a lateral thinker, many people just go with the flow. It is easier to do what everybody else is doing, but not necessarily better. Forging your own road is just as rewarding as it is difficult, but few are willing to wade through the difficulties to get to the reward.

  11. Because too many people want to take the easier, softer way.  Challenges and/or hardships scare them.

  12. because it is full of weeds and shrubs and is hard to trek thru. The road taken most gas all stomped down and has a very clear path. Makes it seem easier than having to stomp down though weeds to get to where you are going.

  13. Because it usually requires tremendous sacrifice, which is never easy, frequently impractical, and often an imposition on our loved ones.  Does that mean it should not be taken?  Personally, I believe that the lessons learned through such sacrifices can strengthen and inspire all parties affected by the journey, provided they are appropriately involved in its pursuit.
