  1. I don't think that

    I'm from jeddah

people in jeddah are very active more than any where

    really I can't explain to u

because this thing u will know with visit jeddah and talk with people there

so u have to visit jeddah

  2. "Unsocial"?!?!?!?!? "Inactive"??????!!!!!! where on earth did you gear that and on what basis did you come up with this statemet?

I'm a saudi from jeddah and our community is way TOO social and OVER THE TOP active!!!

we spend most of our free time (i.e. not during work or school hours) on one of three main domains: charity and community service (and trust me...there'sn't enough time for the things we do and have planned), self development (including sports, hobbies and learning new skills) or planning/running a small private business. so we're anything but "inactive"....every single person i know syas extended family members complain they never see them anymore  due to our very busy and filled schedules. even so, we still socialize alot...we squeeze those so dear social events in our time tables even if it means less or no sleep for a couple of days...we never miss an engagement party, a wedding ceremony, a graduation party, a birthday, an anniversary, a "sha3banah", a new birth, a new opening or launching...we cherich brunches and late dinners...fund raising dinners, monthly parties at the orphanage or special needs centers...excursions to the caves, mountains and deserts as well as weekends diving or having fun and BarBQ at the beach... "sa7oors" and "fatoors" during ramadan and other special days...Eid al-fitr is a week long socializing event that starts at dawn and usually ends at dawn the next day! we celebrate way too much man, even some of my exapt friends comment that they've never partied so much in thier lives except when they came to saudi....and describe it as, and i quote: "the best creative sober and productive partying we've ever came across"....

:) so i really doubt that anyone who's been to saudi or knows some saudis to think of us as "unsocial and inactive"....we're anything but.

  3. I think the Saudi society is TOO social....

Dude, go out a socialize and you  might notice that.

  4. ......its because they dont want other people not belonging to their group, race and religion to interfere with their activities.....making it exclusive to their own......

  5. True , in the sense..There is less interaction between people    .but people still gather  family-wise

  6. While they are among Saudis and among Arabs, they act fine but with non-Arabs, they change.

If you are White and belong to rich nations, they literally act like your butler. If you are non-White and if you belong to poor country, good luck.

The black Saudis are better, more friendly people.
