Why is the sky so grey this summer?

We live in Cheshire, UK and have hardly seen the sun for about 6 weeks or more. Is this Climate Change?

  1. I don't know what it is like in England, I live in the Midwestern U.S., St. Louis Missouri to be exact, just about the middle of the country. But we had an enormous amount of rain earlier this year, we are 15 inches above normal in rainfall. We had some very hot weather in July but unseasonably cool (not that we are complaining) all through August. I don't know if it is cloudier here in the Midwest, but the weather does seem to be strange all over. Now there are all these hurricanes and tropical storms in the Gulf of Mexico. Sometimes the outer bands of those will affect our weather even this far inland.
