  1. i was wondering the same thing last night on some dvds you have to turn the volume right up. you should nt get it on originals

  2. i used to work at a movie rental...if you knew how many people has had that dvd..you wouldnt want to work in a dvd player either...my solution is use some toothpaste...YES TOOTHPASTE...this might sound crazy...but it actually works..but please don't use the toothpaste that has the baking soda in it...it causes it to scratch it...this solution will help take off small scratches...this also can be done with cds too....sooooo...good luck with this...and does this dvd the only thing you tried in your new tv??? did you try putting something else in the dvd player..like one of YOUR dvds...the dvd that you know had worked before....

  3. the DVDs are probably pirated.

  4. Rented DVDs aren't as good qualtiy as the actual ones so it is harder to hear. Buy the DVDs instead.

  5. is your tv hdtv or somthing else.you should just get blu-ray discs because there the best on the market.

  6. try cleaning the disk before you put it in your player and the player its self should be cleaned every ten hours

  7. its prob not the dvd, when i got a new tv i thought the sound was bad too, but i found out we hadn't set up some sound setting, especially with modern t.v's because they have new functions like putting ur tv on stereo and when u do that when u switch back to normal settings it is extremely quit unless u set it up correctly.

  8. could it be your system (ie. dvd player, or your tv speakers)? have you checked to see if there are audio settings that you can change on your tv (ie. bass/treble), or dvd player? i rent alot of movies, and have not had any sound problems. you might want to try the different audio settings on your dvd player (ie. 5.1 ch. AC3, or DTS, or even 2 channel). g/l sos

  9. Because all dvd's now are 5.1 surround sound Which means if you want the best sound you need a sound system that supports 5.1 surround. There is normaly options in the dvd that will allow you to change the sound output
