  1. the south is hotter because it's nearer the equator and the north is colder because it's farther from the equator and it's mountainous. it's in the alps mountains.

  2. There are other factors besides nearness to the equator.  There are wind currents that blow from Africa north, bringing hot air with them, (and sometimes dust and sand).

Also, the south has more coastline on the Mediterranean Sea, which keeps the south warmer in the winter than the north, i.e., a moderating maritime climate.

The north has wind currents from the Alps blowing down on it, bringing colder air.

  3. because the south is closer to the equator which is where the sun hits the earth directly.and the north is colder because it is further away from the equator.  because the sun isnt hitting it very much.

  4. seriously?

do you know what the equator is?

    Have you ever gone south?

It gets hotter the closer you get to the equator...

because that's where the suns light hits the earth most directly.

    But still...

    wow.
