And to answer your question, NO, it would not because AMERICA is used to this keyboard and it is a skill to be a touch typist.

The letters are arranged the same as back in the days of manual typewriters, that had the hammers come up and hit the paper with a ribbon of ink in between,

The letters are spaced out like they are so fast typists has less chance of getting the hammers to hit each other as they went up and down, and making a big jumble of them, which would then have to be unmixed by hand, slowing typing down altogether.
