it seems like pretty much any type of woman is labelled as "hot" by someone, whereas unless a man has those really youthfull boyish features, it is unlikely he will be considered "hot".

the latest is mccain's vp. the media is now commenting on her attractiveness. she is 44, she does not have the sterotypical "hot chick" look, and last time i checked, she isn't parading her body around. so that tosses the stereotype that men are only into young, S****y, paris hilton types out the window. but you don't see mature sophisticated men who don't have the stereotypical "hot boy" look, being lusted after by women. and it's not that "women aren't as visual as men", because they are. why exactly is the standard so different for men and women?

  1. I haven't been  attracted to boys or men who look like boys since my teens. I personally prefer men who look like men, body hair and all.  I prefer older men with more physical character over a pretty boy.

I can't speak for men about their standards and what attracts them since I am not a man, so please, don't speak for me.

  2. I guess I see it in the opposite way: more average looking men with money are deemed attractive while most average looking women are not deemed noteworthy unless they are young. Certainly rich or powerful people of both genders are looked at more favorably than the rest of us.
