Why is the study of rocks and minerals important to plants and animals?

  1. The geological substrate is important because it determines what plant species grow. Herbivores eat plants, carnivores eat herbivores, and thus their is a direct link.


  2. In my own thoght, simply because stones and have minerals wich is an important part of our world they produce simple chemical reaction wich is good when it is consumed not only for  plants and animals as well as humans.
