  1. The entire set of planets and the solar system revolve around the sun. The moon revolves around the earth. If the moon stopped revolving the seas and oceans would stop and there would be no movement of the waters therefore they would go stagnent and die killing organisms in the water which inturn would kill all underwater life and plants. The sun gives light, heat and steady temperature to all life. If the sun failed then probably we would end up on a darker than dark icy cold planet and eventually die. Plants and humans need the sun and sunlight for photosenthses to happen - to give us and plants there own colours etc.

  2. photosynthesis, duuuuuh!

It is the conversion of light energy into chemical energy by living organisms. The raw materials are carbon dioxide and water; the energy source is sunlight; and the end-products are oxygen and (energy rich) carbohydrates. This process is arguably the most important biochemical pathway, since nearly all life on Earth either directly or indirectly depends on it.

not to mention that the sun is important for the existence of planet earth in the first place. without a sun to attract it and hold it in orbit, earth would be an empty frozen rock spinning through space. no life can exist without a sun ( at least not that we know of), and more specifically, a certain distance between the sun and the planet needs to exist in order to allow life to develop (carbon and oxygen based life, cause that's the only one we know of)

  3. light, warmth, growth, vitamins, rain, day/night

what will happen without the sun

it will always be night and what will we do

  4. Besides the sun governing our days and seasons, sunlight is where plants get the energy for photosynthesis, in which they make sugars, starting the whole food chain.  Without a sun the Earth would be a dead rock drifting aimlessly about in space.

  5. Almost all of the energy on the planet is from the sun.  Even fossil fuels, which are pretty much dead dinosaurs, got its energy from the sun through photosynthesis.  The sun keeps the climate the way it is and warms the planet.

  6. Sun sustains all living things on the face of this planet. Native people had it right when they worshipped and praised it.  White man disrespects the water and the land and all things that sustain life.  Nature will always win in the end. The object is to be one with nature, not fight it and work against it as white people have taught.

  7. us people need light and warmth to live, if we can barely survive the 30 degree winter, how would we survive without the sun?
