I went to the Los Angeles Superior Court website to look up a case, which is public information. You have to register and pay $4,75 per case you look up! Here's the link:

Is there a way to bypass this?? It's free in all other counties (that I did a case search in).

  1. Some things are public info, but the public still has to pay.

    What's the case #?

  2. Public info doesn't mean free.  Talk to  the clerks or go to the law library.

  3. Go to a law library and the law librarian will lead you in the right direction.
