Question:

Why is the time stamp in my Yahoo newsgroup different than other members who live in the same area?

How can they adjust this? I assumed it had to do with the clock on their PC, but they insist this is not the case.

  1. First check out your own time zone for your Yahoo newsgroup and make sure it is correct. If it is correct, they can do the same.  Here is how to do that:

    Sign in anywhere on Yahoo.

    At top of page, click on "My Account".

    Enter your password again.

    In the "Member Information" area, down just a little ways, to the right of "Time Zone:", you should see your area's time zone. Example: Time Zone: U.S. Central .

    If it is not correct, Click on "Edit" to the right of "Member Information".

    Scroll down to "General Preferences".

    To the right of "Time Zone:", use the drop down arrow to select the correct time zone for your area.

    Click "Finished" on the lower right side or upper right side of page.
