Why is the volumes of the song on my ipod shuffle lower?

The volume of the songs on my ipod shuffle 2 gen is very low it's like i can't barely hear the song anymore.

I set the volume on my ipod shuffle to max and it still ain't loud enough for me to hear my music.

Are there any free programs i can download to convert my songs so they can sound higher?

sounds like the vol is set to low in itunes

right-click on the songs in itunes > select 'get info' > go to 'options' then set the volume to max and equalizer to rock or whatever > sync to ipod

take up to where you bought the shuffle from and ask them. if they cant help you then try resetting your ipod in your settings. I have a nano so this is a hard question
