I put a blue t-shirt in, a green sweater and blue jeans and the water is turning dark blue. It's set for a light load and using cold water. Howcome this is happening?

  1. blue jeans always turn the water dark especially if they are new wah them alone in cold water with all other blues then another load for other lighter colors.

  2. It is probably from the dye in the t-shirt or the jeans. My guess would be the t-shirt.

Some of these items are made in foreign countries 'somewhere over the rainbow', using what ever they have handy for dye and such.

But it should still clearly state on the tag to "wash seperately".

  3. OK you have to think about primary colors. darker colors are going to show more in the water and every time you wash color fades from you clothes. and thats why the shirt is lighter every time you wash.
