the earth is a globe that's tilted on its axis. to understand this take a ball or balloon ,mark a spot on it around the middle. now shine a light at your globe. and turn the globe from left to right. see how the light hits it. now tip the top of the globe away from the light and turn the globe and you will see the light hit in a different way more on bottom less on top.this is winter in the north or top of globe. less sunlight less heat.but in the bottom of the globe more sunlight more heat. and the closer to the middle it stays the same.notice the top in shade all the time no heat .but the bottom in light all the time.this is one globe but two seasons.
