  1. according to Samuel Clemens aka Mark Twain, the Texas was  a structure or a deck added on to the basic riverboat design , just as Texas the state was added on to the Union at about the same time.....


  2. Didn't they used to throw Texans off the boat from the highest point--and that would be the wheelhouse...
