  1. The word verb is a noun because it describes a thing (an object or a concept, in this case it is a type of word). A noun is like a naming word: and the word "verb" is the name for a type of word as is the word "noun".

A verb (the type of word), is a doing word - something you do, so the word "verb" can't be a verb itself. To verb, doesn't make any sense. Most verbs (but not all) can take the word "to" in front of them. This is called the infinitive.

  2. ur dumb

  3. They are all words that function as subjects or objects, not words that decribe action or state of being.

  4. It may seem odd, but a verb is a noun and can't be used AS a verb in a sentence.

i.e. you can't 'verb' something; you can 'verbalize' but that has a different meaning.

    You can't 'noun' something either!
