My boyfriend was very emotional this last Mon 8/11/08. And I have been with him for 8 years, my child has grown up knowing him as a step dad, yet we never married. He acknowledge to me that because of him feeling the pinch from me causing: Trust issues, him feeling controlled, bent up anger, guilt tripping, him feeling like he is not a man, Can't take the Drama that comes with me, and he feels worthless. Now I have been seeing therapy previously and we had the same problem that was reversed and I was the one being told that I was unfaithful and I proved that I was innocent. But back then people were telling me to drop him and start over. Now I'm not a quitter! If I love someone and I do everything in my power to make it right and work together and I know that the person I love is going to do the same in return to meet me half way. Then I know we have a chance to see this through and grow from this downward spiral of trauma. But now it on him this time and he has an app: this sat 8/16/08 he is going to s*x Addict group therapy. {{{Here is the problem I'm getting mixed signals that he keeps telling me that were broken up, yet he has been talking to me sexually and gives me hugs. Now I always talk to him because I want to show him that I respect him and I will emotionally support him through this change and give him his space. But if he keeps on talking to me sexually and then I ask him do you mean that or is it the s*x addiction talking for you.?}}} Like I said I can't find any info to be a emotional support system for him. And I want to help him by understanding this problem. OH AND TO MAKE IT CLEAR HE HASN'T CHEATED ON ME SINCE WE'VE BEEN TOGETHER FOR ALL THESE 8 YEARS LIVING UNDER ONE ROOF WITH MY CHILD AS A FAMILY. AND HE WAS DRIVING ME CRAZY TOO THE SAME WAY. BUT I DON'T HAVE A s*x ADDICTION AND WE ARE GOING TO SEE A COUPLES COUNSELOR THIS MONTH. Any ideas would be very welcome on how to handle this carefully.
