You would think us as a group of people (whom already have discrimination from straight society) would get along with each other, but lately I've seen so much racism between g*y and bi guys. lot of g*y/bi Indian guys only liking Caucasian guys...Asians guys only liking Caucasian guys. I know it could be a preference but not when people start developing attitudes towards other race g*y guys (not even wanting to associate)and being disrespectful just cuz their of different race. In general if you're a darker skinned g*y/bi guy..you're look at as unattractive. I've seen it in person...but all the time I always see it on g*y social site...I just used East Indian and Asian as example but it apply to all races...some g*y/bi guys are racist towards other guys!

  1. well i think it would be the same situation with a asian man and a caucasian girl....there all ways gonna be racism

  2. I wouldnt call it racist, just because someone isnt attracted to african american people. I just prefer white women and hispanics. Never had a thing for blacks, asians, chinese. Doesn't mean I can't be their friends.  Can't help who you are attracted too...

  3. As a group, g**s and bisexuals are not a different breed from the rest of society. They just do things with each other that little boys do with each other, but the little boys usually out grow the curiosity of youth. So, when you choose to do the reverse of what nature intended, and persue a g*y life style, consider that you have the same problems as a straight group. Some guys only like blonds or red heads, or thin and, my favorite, heafty .What you call racism is no more that the choices we all make. You are not a new or different species.

  4. There's not only racism, there's also ignorance like some of the people who've answered.

Anyway, my brother's friend is a black g*y guy. He doesn't have any trouble finding boyfriends. And my ex-friend Chanelle was a black L*****n, she didn't have any trouble finding girlfriends.

You should move to Jersey, hahaha. Or Philadelphia.

  5. Why is there homophobia in the black community?  It's human nature to find a scapegoat to direct your angst onto.

  6. thats like bad . . . when i told 3 of my friends i was bi they just were like omg are you serious? and i said yeah and they ditched me sorta liek tyhey dont want me as their friend anymore so but like racist with g*y and bi and peoples ethnicity BAD only meen people are likez that

  7. Bigotry is inherent to the human condition.  There is always an us-versus-them, no matter who us and them are.  And we're not immune to it just because we're in a minority.

  8. I agree with you. We (LGBT) battle the endless fight of discrimination everyday because of who we are. What kind of sense does it make to turn around and do the same thing to someone else because of the color of their skin? Whoever does it is BRAINWASHED! Darker skin wasn't devalued until American slavery began. And unfortunately, like genes, that train of thought has been passed down for generations to races all over the world. Dark skin is beautiful. ACCEPT IT. Thats why so many people are blowing up the tanning beds!

  9. because g*y people want to be like everyone else

  10. ?

  11. So, does being g*y make you a saint or something?  Everybody has their own issues.  Black people are racist too, so are Asian and everybody else.  Women can be sexist, and old people can discriminate on age.

Yeah, people don't get along, g*y or straight either one.

  12. A people who have been kicked around should be able to resist predjudice and bigotry between their own ears . But many black people hate chinese , protestants hate catholics and on and on . chalk it up to human nature .

  13. I am afraid so, we all have our choices and our dislikes.

  14. g*y people are still people at the end of the day. Our orientation doesn't change the fact that we're still susceptible to all of the common idiocies of the the human race.

  15. Hmm, interesting question.

You rightly acknowledge that many of us have preferences in the look of the person we would like to be with.  Ethnicity is part of the look.  For me, I like any ethnicity (although not so much attracted to white skin as many other skin colours).  It seems odd to me that people would say "no white replies" or something like that - but it happens lots on many g*y dating websites.

In terms of friendships, in the UK I have heard of this, but never really seen it for myself.  In the UK, I had many friends of other ethnicities, mostly g*y.  At my birthday (when I brought all my friends together), it was joked that it looked like a UN convention with my friends from so many countries.

If you look around at some g*y bars (such as Kudos or Village in London) there are many people from ethnic minorities and ofter groups with people of different ethnicities in this.  This does not show the racism you describe.  However, there are other bars, which have a much more white clientele.

I no longer live in the UK and now live in Korea.  In Korea, things are much more cruisy than the UK - the scene is there more to pick up than a night out with friends.  There are Koreans looking for Koreans, Koreans looking for westerners, westerners looking for Koreans and westerners looking for westerners, punctuated with the occasional black guy or Arabian guy.

    Nick

    :)

  16. there's always going to be hate among groups of people. and sometimes preferences will lead to all to clear differences which can cause a rift thaat can get out of hand. just the way it is unfourtantly... it's not fair, but that's how things work.

bigotism comes in all forms of ppl, straight, g*y, bi, even transexual. it's nature and nurture put together, and is not easily overcome.

just ignore it, and be nice. lol.

    hugs for everyone.
