  1. to make us laugh...lol and why do we drive on the parkway and.......

  2. It's called the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA).

  3. How many more times are you going to ask that question?

  4. This question again??

ATMs are mass produced...whether they are drive-up or walk-up. Braille pads are required by the Americans With Disabilities Act.

    EMT

  5. some people on here are just so nasty...get a life instead of yelling at someone for asking a question!

anyway yes the americans with disabilities act requires it.

no reason to be so d**n nasty...

  6. Almost all ATM's  are the same or similar design, but not all are in drive throughs. To accomodate the blind in malls, convenience stores, community events, etc. the machines need to have brail figures.  (I used to think the same thing too, until I really thought about it for a while)

  7. okay lets how many time have we seen this question?

lets see a raise of hands do I hear 100 time? 200 times? do I hear 300 times

apparently this person isn't aware of the American disabilities

act which requires equal accommodation to the disable

meaning the manufacturers of ATM are required by the ADA to manufacture

ATM with braille dots they dont not control

where a bank puts the ATM

    (they only make one kind)

  8. This keeps coming  up so when blind people drive up they can get their money too.

  9. Blinds have rights too... =)

  10. The driver is not the only person to use the machine. Sometimes there will be blind passengers that will use the ATM.

  11. for the passenger

  12. Because blind people have to use banks, too.  Even if that means that they get a ride to the bank after hours, and use the ATM at the drive through since the lobby is closed.
