I got my new 360 2 days ago because the other one had to be replaced and I played it today for no more than 5 minutes and it has a red ring of death. Why is this? I'm getting sick of broken consoles and no I don't want a PS3.

  1. LOL that happened to me. The three red rings is basically a general hardware faliure. It happens basically by the CPU overheating or the gpu overheating.

  2. Hard ware failure send it back 2 microsoft and they'll send you a replacement comsoleand a one month Xbox live Gold card it allready happened to me too

  3. The three red lights is not that common...guys you know how many xboxs microsoft has sold in Europe billions....So, if we copmared this number to the percentage of who got it...you will kinow that it is not a common issue...my xbox worked perfectly fine for 2 years...

  4. well, its gonna keep breaking. rrod is overheating, cause the fans on that thing suck for how loud they are.

  5. Your answer doesn't make sense. "I'm getting sick of all the broken consoles and I don't want the PS3 with it's 0.020% chance of breaking."

It would cost more money to fix them completely then to just keep refurbishing them. basically what they do when they get your 360 is restore it and send it back. Nothing changes. They don't actually fix the problem.

  6. Just get an x-clamp replacement kit from me for £4 and it will clamp down those pesky heatsinks so your RROD will be cured!
