It seems like when ever a black or hispanic guy dates a caucasian woman it like taboo or a scandal yet when a white guy dates outside his race it gets nothing except a look here or there?

  1. Idk really, but a big surprise to me when I started here on YA in february is how "some people" are such whiners, oh poor me cant get a white girl, poor me all whites hate me, poor me all chinese hate me etc, etc. If you grow up maybe you dont have to whine so much. No, excuse me growing up means taking responsibility and not being a victim and that is way to much to ask of you. Run home to Momma and cry

  2. The only thing that makes it a double standard is the fact that most of them will not date outside of their race when they are broke and give us all their problems, but when they get some money, they act like they don't know what a sista/latina is. Like T.O. the way white people treated him he still go out and get a white girl.

  3. lol interesting question.....historically white men were never barred from dating anyone.....a white slave owner could be married to a nice white woman and still rape his black slave and nothing was done about it because the law was controlled by white men....they feared that white women would do the same with black men and because of this they demonized the black man as a predator who hunted white women for rape (ironically they were more likely to rape their black female slaves instead) and of course they depicted themselves as knights in white armor who came to the rescue of white women......needless to say that such way of thinking is rooted in deep sexism and racism. Anytime they see a white girl dating a black guy they feel insulted yet no one complains when they date asian women (which they do a lot)....it's all rooted in years of racism and racial oppression.

  4. i think you already know the answer to this question.

  5. maybe bw expect more loyalty from bm because of history. i dont know if this is right or not. just throwing it out there

  6. People automatically think that the guy is just in it for the wrong reasons. My parents don't believe that it would be alright if i went out with a hispanic or black guy. I think that people are just closed minded. But think of it this way. We have just started thinking of people who are not caucasian as equals about thirty to forty years ago. And they have been the object of discrimination for way longer than that. I am willing to give people a few more decades till equality really rings true in every body's hearts.

  7. idk.....its kinda like how a guy can s***w as many ppl as he wants and hes a pimp, while a girl does the same and shes a h*, it never makes sense!!

  8. lol I don't know why White women are looked at as trouble for non white guys.  Maybe it's that hollywood image where they make it seem like every man's prize is a white woman.  White women seem to get the best roles, or are the best p**n stars, models.  It's pretty lame though because not all white women degrade themselves to be the main attraction in the lime light.

  9. I think it was more common "back in the days" for white men to have relations with women of many races... considering men have played a dominant role in society thus far and were always doing whatever (or whoever) they wanted.

I agree that it is strange... but its just how it goes... My husband is black and I am white. And I was shocked at the gawks and stares

    (even comments) I have received...

I have even stopped speaking with old friends due to their new found racism... funny they werent that way until I was dating someone.... hmmm

If you don't like it... don't look. :)  I know its hard to resist... we are hot... hahah.

  10. There is a definite double standard.

I posted a comment on this Youtube video (haha) made by an Asian rapper showing a slideshow of him and his girl who is a Latina.

The rap was talking about how people always said they wouldn't last because they were different, etc etc etc.

Well my comment was saying how I felt the same discrimination from people when I was dating Black guys specifically ...

And one Asian guy replied and said that it's only cool if an ASIAN GUY dates outside of his race, but when an ASIAN WOMAN dates a non-Asian man that it's because she watches too much Fresh Prince of Bel-Air..........

And that yeah, that guys can 'keep it real' and that he can't blame men for trying to get Va-gi-gi, but that Asian women are sell-outs for dating non-Asians..

    BTW I'm A VIRGIN!! hahaha...

    Hypocritical and sexist...

So basically power to the non-Asians I date, but I'm a sell out if I date them.

But yeah.. I live in an environment where people would never say that to me in my face, so that's why my example is from the internet haha.

  11. in my experience, that double standard only exists with black men, not really with hispanic men. 92 percent of married black men are married to black women. no other race even comes close to that number. but black men are the ONLY ones who are ever criticized. even if that 92% turned into 100%, black men will still be accused of dating too many 'light-skinned' women. its really a no-win situation for us.

  12. Really? Seems the opposite in my case.  More people look at us because most of the IR's in my city are BM/WF.
