  1. sperms have to swim during reproduction and in this case most of spurm are destroyed.

  2. 1.because the sperm are so much smaller than the egg and because they lose their cytoplasm. they are also subject to being damaged because of their size so you need more of them to survive.

2.part of it has to do with gravity (the eggs drop down and the sperms swim up)

  3. u know that during sexual reproduction lots of sperm cells which are male gametes flow from the male to the female reproductive organ. many of them die before they reach the ovary. only one ovary is needed every once n then but many sperm cells are needed in order to make sure that at least one will be fertilised during reproduction

  4. In males for every cell that enters meiosis, there are four sperm produced. Oogenesis (egg production) is different. While there are four daughter cells produced, only one will be a viable egg, the other three form "polar bodies". This is due to the fact that there is unequal division of the cytoplasam during oogenesis (one cell gets all the cytoplasam).

Males: one cell in, four sperm out

Females: one cell in, one egg out
