Because we are picky over what we want in the opposite s*x. I'm not but many black women are. More so the ones that are very successful. They feel that having a man will only hinder them if he dose not meet their ideal qualities. So therefore they are happy being single. Many of them blame it on the lack of good black men. As for me I don't date black guys, because the majority of them seem to follow that disrespectful-black-man-rapper kind of role. That so many black women and women in general hate. But don't think that the black women that are single are not happy. On the contrary, they feel as great as a kid in a candy store.

EDIT: Jose, just because you are mad at your black father for not being there in your life does not mean that all black people are dead, looks like I'm still alive. Your very ignorant and having a black parent is not excuse. Jen you are racist.

Because african american women almost exclusively date african american men, who tend to take off.  Not being  a racist, this is what happens.

I don't think you can really pin point it on race. I think the person as an individual should be questioned. I also believe the area in which you live can be a factor because perhaps there is just not enough single men or women depending on what you like around. Maybe there just isn't enough time in a day to find a potential mate. Looks are important as well sadly. If you don't look presentable chances are nobody will notice you... plus some women just prefer being single. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Because being a player is more glamorized amongst black men.

Plus i think a lot of black woman are to much into material and just look for the monthly child support check.

I must say though black woman are some of the hottest woman.

cause they dont shave their smelly arm pits and are too much trying to be the man instead of the woman with their "Oh no he didnt" attitudes.
