light has no limit, so why is there a limit to how far away we, as humans can see? I know its a strange question, but any guesses would be helpful!

  1. There isn't really a limit.  Some people can't see far, because their vision is bad, but some with good vision or proper glasses doesn't have a limit.  The reason we can't see things all over the world on earth is because the world is round and most things are blocked by closer things.  Also, if there is a lot of moisture in the air, that will block vision too.  The reason we can't see things in outer space, is because it's so far away it's too small to be recognized by our brain.  However if it's the right time of year, and the air is right, it is possible to see some of the planets in out solar system without a telescope.

  2. that's an excellent question try googling it or yahoo search

  3. Hmmm. I wish i could see farther..

  4. Well, there really isn't a limit to how far we can see, its a matter of how far we can see clearly.  Think of your eyes like cameras, they can only take in and process so much information from a given distance.  It would be nice if they had a zoom function though.

  5. because this is a order from god.

  6. The lenses in your eyes only have a certain focus capacity (a guess)

  7. What limit would that be?  We can see stars that are light years away.   Do you mean some other limit?  For example, the average person can see the space between two bright points that are only 1 arc-minute apart (60 arc-minutes = 1 degree).  It doesn't matter how far the points are, if they are any closer, they will look like one bright point instead of two.

  8. Evolution can only take us so far in such a short amount of time.  Our evolutionary path focused on the our brains development, while other animals (such as dogs) developed a brilliant sense of smell and hearing.

  9. 2 reasons:

    1) Aperture. Our eyes can only focus a certain distance, because our pupil is only a certain size, much like that of a SLR (Single Lens Reflex Camera)

    2) Curvuture of the Earth. We cant see long distances simply because the Earth is a sphere. Whats funny is, we can see the moon, stars and Sun which are thousands and thousands of miles away.

    We are impressive things :)

  10. Well i think it's because it would be too hard for the brain to process information that went for miles. Also since the earth is round it would be uselss to have sight for more than like 20 miles anyway.

  11. There is no such limit. You can see galaxies millions of light years away with the naked eye.
