Why is there a new term for suicide?

"ingestional error" is there a legal reason for it, or is it just PC.

That's not a new term for suicide, and considering Google only returns 2 hits for "ingestional error" it's definitely not widespread. Suicide is suicide. No stupid PC terms exist for it.

It's a more specific term for oral poisoning, not suicide. A person trying to commit suicide can have 'ingestional error' or gunshot wound to the face.

A baby can also have ingestional error from swallowing a lot of pills that look like candy.

It helps the doctor focus in on the problem and possible cures.
