Why is there an American flag next to the en Espanol button?

Is it possible that Spanish is now so much a part of American culture that our flag takes presidence over ever flag of EVERY country that actually uses spanish as their national language? I'm all for diverity but im also for using our flag as the internation button for english.....

And ya, there is supposed to be an accent over the n in the question but w/e

    so spanish isnt your secound language? :S i thought it was.

    im surprised we dont have a french button with the canadian flag : P

There's one for English with an American Flag and there's one with Spanish with an American Flag...we commonly speak both languages in the US.  Do you remember when the original Bush was in office, there was a big debate as to whether or not we should make Spanish our second national language?  It was a big stink.

    Anyway, we all know there's a lot of Spanish speakers here.  It's annoying to people like me because I never took Spanish (though my paycheck reflects that quite clearly now).
