  1. dont dont dont go to claires for ANY PIERCINGS. at an actual piercing shop u can go with ur parents and it will be fine

  2. that just seems weird

normally they'll do it if the parent's present

    ...

    i'm sorry for you're sister =[

  3. Some piercings you just have to be older. I wouldn't take her to Claires, though.. The piercers there practice on stuffed teddy bears, and that's pretty much the only experience that they have to piercing. They also use piercing guns which aren't really safe.

Try going to an actual piercing studio and talking to the piercer about their guidelines for age restrictions.

  4. cartilage piercings come with a lot of risks. i actually wouldn't recommend getting it pierced at Claire's at any age, or any place that will pierce it with a gun.

cartilage piercings can hit your nerves if pierced in the wrong place, and they can affect your hearing, and the physical appearance of your ear.

the reason why your sister was not able to get it pierced even with your mother present is because they do not want to be held liable if something goes wrong (shattered cartilage, for example.)

when your sister turns 14, make sure she goes to a professional piercer, someone who specializes only in piercings, and who will pierce her with a much more accurate and sanitary needle. piercing guns cannot be sterilized properly and can also cause infection a lot easier.

when she turns 13, she can call some shops, but most professional piercers will tell you she needs to be 14 with parental consent, (which she has), or 16 without.

  5. Satan's Angel is completely right... I have my cartilage done & after talking to a few friends I decided to get it done with a needle...

  6. It's a health problem. Younger people aren't as immune to infection as older people are. It's more likely to get infected with the cartilage piercing.

  7. depends on the state, here in arizona its 14, with parents, and go to a tattoo shop, and get it done by a professional, not a 17 year old girl at claires.

and no, it isnt a health problem, its a stupid constrictive state law... like why you have to be a certain age to get tattoos
