  3. my guess is because us humans cannot fly, there fore they named a bug the "fly" because it can fly and prob because they couldn't think of another name lol....

    as for the 'walk' i guess because humans and animals can walk so no animal is needed to be named that

  5. never really thought about it, probably because the fly which is an insect, literally flies, but that still doesn't explain why moths aren't flies, good question, but now I am going to have that in my head all day.lol

  6. Probably for the same reason no animal is called a "run," "crawl," "strut," or "hover."  At least in English.  

    However I have heard of a certain human now and then referred to as a "creep."
