  1. "America-hating, Muslim" Oh my and bet you still believe Muslims were behind 9/11 too? Again, why do these "Muslims" hate us so? According to our now fearless leader and I quote "these evil doers hate us becouse of our freedoms" while at the sametime saying this he comes up with this patriot act ripping apart yours and my bill of rights more than any other presadent ever. I agree with what GW said "the evil doers hate our freedoms" and that's why GW and party took them away, but I disagree that the Muslims had anything to do with it... If you can read between my lines?

  2. 1. Because the polls are population weighted, not a proper sample of all States.

    2. Because the ballot cast by the people in the General election in November is merely a vote for electors pledged to the election of a particular individual as President and as Vice President.

    3. Because both of those officials are elected by the Electoral College when it meets on December 14, 2008 under certificates of ascertainment issued by the States' Governors.

    4. Because there are only 24 of the 50 States which have "faithful elector laws" which bind their electors (under penality of fine and/or imprisonment)  to cast their ballots in compliance with the wishes expressed by the voters of those States in the November General Election.

    5. Finally, it is because none of the "journalists", pundits and "experts" who bloviate on TV news programs about the election won't ever mention what I just told you. They will treat it as a political version of "American Idol", when it is (in fact) quite autocratic in its outcome.

  3. I know that Obama will win but I'd probably trust a dog more with leading this country than Obama or Mccain. Im not voting.

  4. Well the one is one sided, for sure!! and that is evident in his wife's thesis, and I believe that thats whats gonna happen in america today, Plus the fact that because of the demo's saying no to the gas tax, that we will all suffer, with higher gas tax, thanks demo congress, you are surely ruing this fine nation with all your BS!!!!!

  5. The more I read of Washington, Jefferson, Madison, the Presidents Adams, Paine and the like, the more absolutely thrilled I am that it's "ONLY" a president whose power is still very, VERY limited and balanced (although not as the Constitution intended) by the States, the Congress and the Judicial branch.

    It's only a presidency; not a monarchy.

While the office is brutal to each custodian sent in to hold it for four or eight years, its powers still fit the description of a paper tiger and little more.

But, it has star-power. Seems we think of a presidential election year as some sort of sporting event. In truth, the president can do little without the approval of three-fifths of the entire Legislative Branch.

Most of the people I talk with are not interested in the presidency. There seems to be a tectonic shift in the political trust of the People, moving from the Federal level to State level seats. And it couldn't come at a better time.

    ...

  6. Well the Republicans have done such a fine job of running the country the answer is obvious

  7. No question. Any non-Republican would be elected this year.

  8. I guess some people just like the idea of a lying, socialist, America-hating, Muslim as president. Maybe they are delusional and off their meds.

The rest of us want McCain.
