Why is there braille on drive-thru ATM's ?

  1. It's called the Americans With Disabilities Act. All devices available to the public must be accessible by the disabled, which includes blind people.


  2. One pad fits all and sometime blind people ride along in the back and they do use this as well.

  3. Justin's correct. That ATM could be installed anywhere & all of the fronts are the same.

    It is strange though.

    I've also seen braille signs in one DMV office I stopped in once with a friend of mine.

  4. Even MacDonald's drive thru has a sign stating menus in braille available. I don't know of too may blind drivers:>O

  5. because the parts they use to build the ATM are universal as the drive up ones are the exact same ones as walk up ones just at a different height for cars...it would not be cost effective to create special parts just for drive up ATMs.
